Had typography last week. Was really interesting (and fascinating too - typography is a bit like "opening a can of worm" - there are pretty much endless things to say about once you have become an expert). First of all, Susannah did a presentation on typography, she took us through the basic and main facts of typography. We afterwards, started experimenting tracing our names. We had a choice of typefaces (Snell Roundhand, Helvetica, Optima, Eurostile amongst a few others). I chose to trace my name with Snell Roundhand - for the capital letters and Optima for the small ones. We furthered the workshop by analysing specific letters. I chose O.
